Turkish, Emirati Foreign Ministers Discuss Israel, Iran

(MENAFN) Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan had a phone conversation on Monday with Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, his counterpart from the United Arab Emirates.

As per information shared by Turkish Foreign Ministry insiders, the two officials addressed the persistent hostilities between Israel and Iran during their discussion.

The situation has grown increasingly volatile since Friday, when Israel initiated synchronized aerial bombardments and unmanned aircraft raids on numerous Iranian locations, among them strategic military and atomic infrastructure.

This prompted Tehran to respond with counterattacks.

According to Israeli officials, Iranian missile strikes have resulted in no fewer than 24 fatalities and left hundreds more with injuries since Friday.

Conversely, Iran has reported that Israeli attacks have led to the deaths of at least 224 individuals and inflicted wounds on more than 1,000 others.
